One of the largest energy employers in Texas doesn't even recruit UT Austin because their graduates were quitting the company so fast.

Probably #3 in the SEC behind Florida (gold standard in Coastal Studies) and A&M. Not sure about schools that have a more prestigious Marine Biology programs. (USC would probably be one of these.)

I'm judging based on Oceanography and Coastal and Environmental Science.

LSU's Kam-Bui Lui is a world renowned hurricane researcher who wrote the book and coined the term Paleotempestology.

No Naval Academy or Air Force Academy, but the Merchant Marine Academy is there....
