One note, if the NCAA and TV agree on their lawsuits, players will have to sign contracts which require them to play bowl games.

And just how do you plan on making those players, especially the top players sign these contracts? Gun point? Because a top player who can pull in a million a year in NIL and freely transfer for a better deal each year, will never sign a piddly 40,000 dollar deal and lose out on all of that money and opportunity. Their agents will well advise them to stay away from that nonsense, and rightfully so.

Excellent point. That’s why it has to become regulated and somewhat like the NFL with. Contracts, salary caps, draft, collective bargaining, free agency etc. The Lawyers will figure this out.

What people must remember is out of 85-100 people on a team, only the 5 Star and marquis players will command multimillion dollar contracts. The puny white kid there for an education and too experience college like in the past, will still receive compensation like in the NFL with their minimum salary etc.

Congress will have to pass special laws to govern college sports for all this to work. It will be a long process imho.

25, 15, 10, or even 5 years ago I could never imagine giving up being a rabid fan of college football. I can certanly envision that now. Not fartetched at all and that is sad.

I’ve been a season ticket holder for 20+ years. I can easily envision myself giving them up in the next 3-5 years. I been on the fence since Covid. I’m leaning more and more towards giving them up.
