Also, what do you do if to avoid a rematch you have to use the 13th team on the list? Good luck explaining that to the team that you drop in its place.

Yeah I definitely didn't mean to drop a team off the list..

For example..
1 Georgia
2 Ohio State
7 Michigan
8 LSU
9 Alabama
10 Penn State

The games would be..
1 Georgia vs the winner of 8 LSU & 9 Alabama
2 Ohio State vs the winner of 7 Michigan & 10 Penn State

If you swapped 9 and 10..
you get matchups that haven't already been played

1 Georgia vs (8 LSU vs 9 Penn State)
2 Ohio State vs (7 Michigan vs 10 Alabama)

Even this presents other issues..
ie Michigan vs Ohio State in the 2nd round

A team will play another team 3x in a year (it will happen imo)
Idk if that is good or bad

It could happen this year.

Texas vs Georgia (regular season)
Texas vs Georgia (SEC)
Texas vs Georgia (playoffs)

Georgia vs Alabama (regular season)
etc
etc

Michigan vs Ohio State (regular season)

like I said.. idk if that is good or bad

A - From what I saw on YouTube, the concern is only the 1st round (so Teams 5-12).

B - Still would like to know the solution if you (the committee) have to drop a team to prevent a rematch in the 1st round.
