Because conference labels don't mean shite in the national championship picture. Conferences are in no way designed to award the championship to the best team nationally. If they were, then Georgia would have many less appearances in the SECCG(and losses, since you hardly ever win the game). Because you have made it to the game multiple times while not being among the top 2 teams in the SEC.

It's hard to argue this when you don't win your conference. It's even harder when you're not in the conference championship at all. We're not playing football simulator, the games themselves have to count.

Which years are you referring to? I'll give you 2011, we were way outmatched. 2019 is a tough sell, that LSU team reached another level in the postseason Are you also offsetting that with the 2007 UGA team that missed out??
