I was being a bit facetious, but come on dude, like was recently discussed on another thread, Texas has been overrated and mediocre in a mediocre conference for the last full decade. They have one decent season last year and suddenly they are going to waltz into the toughest conference in the country and just start making the playoffs every season? Why should anyone believe that? On paper, they look like everyone else in the SEC....they return some talent, but lost some talent, and then added some portal talent. (Yawn)...that sums up every team in the SEC. They still only had the #6 recruiting class. LSU, Oklahoma and even Auburn had top 10 classes.

So, what's gonna make things different now that they join the SEC?

Texas has 15+ that should get drafted in the next 2 years. We will have 7+ that will get drafted this year. Sark and his staff are developing the players.. that is what is different. These 3 drafts will have more than 2010-2023 combined.

Besides Georgia and Alabama, maybe LSU, who else can say that have 15+ in the next 2 years?

QB - Ewers

RB - Blue, Baxter

TE - ?? not sure yet

OL - Banks, Campbell, Williams

WR - Bond, Cook, Golden, Moore

DL - Collins, Burke

Edge - Trey Moore

LB - Hill

DB - Muhammed, Williams, Mukuba, Barron

Maybe that’s normal, but that hasn’t been normal at Texas since mid 2000s.. and it’s honestly better than those teams imo.

Our season will come down to Ewers imo. If he takes the next step, we should be better.
