You honestly think that the Seattle Seahawks, a multi billion dollar organization, would hire an OC that wasn’t running the offense?

NFL franchises are not infallible. The Seahawks made a lot of surprising assistant hires.
That being said, I think Alabama would be much better off having kept Grubb. They seem to work really well together. But it is DeBoer’s offense. The last time Grubb was on his own was not a good run. He took over as OC at Fresno State when DeBoer left for Indiana. When DeBoer is hired back as head coach (and Grubb is retained) the offense improves again.

They just fired a head coach because he was offensively stuck in the mud. They are desperate to succeed with a brand new young head coach and are now trying the college football model. It was a shot-in-the-dark hire, and they chose a local to try to get the job done. Truth be told, Grubbs wife was just too lazy to pack.
