The North Side of Birmingham is bad. The South Side not as bad but bad.

Birmingham is like a lot of big cities. Sure it has its absolute shithole areas that you’d best get your arse out of with the quickness should you find yourself in it but for the most part it’s no more dangerous than any other major metro.

Lot of the prior bad areas are gentrifying too. Avondale, the western end of East Lake and Norwood for example are far from the crime ridden shitholes they were in the 90s.
