What do most of these places have in common?

Surprised Montgomery hasn't been mentioned. It's the Baton Rouge of Alabama. A woman last Friday was sitting at a red light in the middle of the day in not what is considered a bad part of town...was caught in the crossfire between two wastes of oxygen. She's now paralyzed for life. They, of course, haven't been found.

I travel often for work to most of the places that have been mentioned. If you're talking about the city proper, Jackson, MS and New Orleans are third world level. I grew up near Montgomery...it has fallen drastically since the early 90s...it usually coincides with new city "leadership" being voted in and anyone with any means getting the F out.
The poor woman worked at a brokerage firm. It's very sad that her life as she knew it is over and it was caused by the crime ridden scum in Montgomery.

The Eastdale Mall area is not necessarily "good" part of town, but it's certainly not the Rosa Parks Drive or Court Street bad part either. Not to be out done by paralyzing an innocent woman, there were an additional 3 homicides that took place over the weekend as well.

It just so happens the Chief of Police, Darryl Albert (former Commander of Field Operations in New Orleans) is currently on administrative leave for sexual misconduct. Montgomery is a straight shithole.
Edit: News just broke the Chief of POLice just resigned.
