Are you really a legend if no one has heard of you outside of Tuscaloosa?

I remember him for being head coach at Ole Miss.

Vanderbilt fans knew him. He was a good coach at VU.

I remember reading an interview with him where he stated he regretted leaving VU.

The '74 VU team that played in the Peach Bowl had;

Head coach
Steve Sloan (2nd season)
Offensive coordinator Rex Dockery (2nd season)
Defensive coordinator Bill Parcells (2nd season)

Wow!! Who has been living under a rock? I want even go into all of his accomplishments. Some people just need to keep mouths shut. They apparently do not know the history in Collegiate sports. Much less what a wonderful man Coach Sloan was. Rest in peace Coach.
