I posted in the other thread about this, but the change from chasing only 5* recruits to guys who will stay 3-4 years is going to be refreshing. The one and done model has proven not to work anymore, it's why we were having a coaching search to begin with.

I think this might work our really well for us, but only time will tell. His record suggests his teams get better year to year. He hasn't had tournament success yet, but then again, neither has Cal for almost a decade.

Have fun with those 3 star recruits

To say he hasn’t had success is an understatement. He’s never even won a conference championship at BYU.

Sure, he bleeds blue, but just because someone loves their alma mater doesn’t mean they’ll be a great coach. IU learned this the hard way.

All I know is that this guy better know how to evaluate and recruit talent. 3-star Mormon white boys are not going to cut it, and I’m gonna take a guess that he’s smart enough to know that.
