The board should reject the hire and then he should be fired. This is complete incompetence.
Hurley says no, so he went to Drew. Seems like a sure thing but when he says no, Barnhart’s next call was to Pope? That is completely inexcusable

This is along the "Michigan Man" line of logic.
When the one you want says no, then you get one of your own lined up to say yes.
