Dawn coached at Temple before USC...which was in the Atlantic 10 conference at the time.
Kim coached at Marshall before coming to Tennessee...which is in the Sunbelt Conference.
Both were coaching at schools that were afterthoughts in Women's basketball pretty much the entire history of the program before each of them got there.

Dawn wanted the Bama job before going to usc. Openly lobbied for it. Mal wouldn’t give her the time of day. Shame.
