If they win back to back titles, he’ll go down as arguably one of the greatest coaches in the last 15 years. I can’t stand his smug Northeast attitude either, but it’s the truth. Winning every single tourney game by an average of 15+ points is absolutely insane

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a coach be so cocky about his team and saying repeatedly how his team is clearly the best team in the country during the freaking season

Yeah, well. When his team plays like #1 and it's not empty talk, he can say what he wants.
Opposing whiney coaches could use it as motivational material for their team. If it helps their cause. Otherwise it's just whining about UConn's winning coach.

It may be true. I just have never seen a coach say it actively DURING a season and be so matter of fact about it
I mean could you imagine bill Belichick being like “ ahh yea well we’re the best. Uhhh we just beat everybody’s arse and um nobody really stands a chance against us”
