Now back to the question at hand...if Clark is the primary ball handler why didn't LSU bring any ball pressure back court or half court traps once Clark brought it up court or anything remotely different to at least make an attempt to adjust or put pressure on Iowa?
No double teams, no hard (but clean fouls) they just let her bring the ball up the court sit behind a screen and cook HVL every single time or drive right by her with ease.
Make their guards shoot, you can live with them making a shot but Clark absolutely not. You got to get it out of her hands. LSU had a solid front court and dominated inside so I think there defense could've held up if Clark dished to open teammates once doubled.
Bad coaching imo

Good luck
Also if you press Clark she just turns into Tom Brady and nukes a pass full court to an open teammate

She was probably relieving pressure with those squats.

She is a phenomenal player thats why you gotta let her teammates beat you. Maybe as the game goes on those passes become errant. But now we'll never know.
Ain't no way in hell you sit in a drop coverage and let her bombs away and bully your guard the way she did lsu and it didn't work because she drove with ease anyway one on one.

They were tied at half
And kept it within striking distance to the end
You can submit your resume for women coach if you want
Doubt you could handle the pressure

Clark is good not God.
She is capable of mistakes. However LSU never put her in positions to make any

LSU only plays 7. They were already struggling to keep the pace up without pressuring. They don't have the depth to do that for long.

Also fair to say her standard 30 footers tend to stretch defenses.
