This logic is so fricking poorly thought out.
You're told a hit piece is coming out about you. What's your reaction? Especially if there's nothing particularly damming. You start thinking, "what the frick could they have found?" It'd be maddening.
Some would wait to read it and respond. I respect that Kim went on the offensive and simply said, if you lie or print untruths, I will sue.
The guy had two years to find ANYTHING and what he gave us were things we already knew. I hope you're never on a jury with your mindset.

Even when you know you haven’t done something, you’d still feel apprehensive. Just like when your boss at work says “Come see me” or the cops leave a voice mail.
