Imagine taking that tiny thing out into the open blue not knowing what's underneath you at any given time. Glad he's safe.

I've had a few scary encounters in the sea.

A lot of people underestimate how unpredictable it is out there imo just because of their love for the water.

Whew….great news.

If the current and/or winds are strong it can be difficult to get back in. I often go to the second sand bar or maybe a little beyond. One day it was really hard to get back in. Things look closer than they really are.

Wow. Did not expect that good news when it was first reported he was missing.

I can’t imagine what it was like being out there at night.

He more than likely got taken out by the tide, lucky they found him in time.

The article literally says he was pushed out by the wind.

The Rip Currents have been hell this month but one should be fine in a kayak. I just pray for the Spring Break folks every year to be educated before they venture into the Gulf.

Fun fact for the Dawgs. Chris went to the same high school here in Tuscaloosa as former UGA and soon to be NFL CB Kamari Lassiter.
