It's a subjective subject. Teams tend to start counting when they do their best playing. Florida would only be interested in 1992 forward.

BAMA, LSU, Tennessee, Georgia, the Barn, and Florida have the Big 6 moniker with my math. Kentucky was on probation in 1977. I don't think any other school, besides these 6, has ever won an SEC championship since 1964.

We tied for sec championship in 1976. We were 6-0 in 1977 but were on probation.

I think it's fair to count integration as the dawn of modern college sports. So by 1970 it was a done deal for the entire SEC?

It was a shared title as well. No one outside the Big 6 has one won an outright title since before integration.
