Retainers are non-refundable. I probably didn’t need to specify that. I assume hiring a lawyer before something’s decided on involves a retainer.

she hired the lawyer bc they asked her for comment on the story. she knows what’s in it. she knows it’s “read a prepared statement in my game press conference” bad.

Unless in Louisiana there is some fricked up Napoleonic Code shite that differs from that, but in the rest of the US you pay for the services rendered.
