Jake on Locked on Auburn this morning. I think he was reading a script he wrote or seemed that way.
Ok I will give him he’s a fan and he lived in the Auburn area. His dad was a great player. But Jake isn’t and never should be the arbiter of what Auburn is or isn’t or what the expectations should be. Granted he welcome to his opinion. I didn’t attend AU everyone on here knows that, you know who else didn’t attend AU? Jake Crain.
He was such a great football coach he became a podcaster.
Granted I get his feeling that when the ring is in reach we seem to fall short or when the expectations are there we seem to but so does every other team. Auburn is no different we are just the ones who hurt when a loss or unexpected loss happens.
All this stems from 10 years of Bama and UGA being dominant in football. I get it but it was still an absolute ignorant take.

I'll give it to him that he is far more knowledgeable about football than the average pod caster/commentator, having played and coached. And because he is more knowledgeable, I generally enjoy listening to his opinions and usually feel better educated afterward. But that is offset by the fact that he is just pompous as hell. Yea, he knows more than me and the average fan and the average pod caster. But as you point out, if he was THAT good a coach, he'd be coaching instead of pod casting. An ounce (or two) of humility would serve him well.
