Would you take a 20 win regular season and multiple wins in the tourney

Not personally. Hard to compare apples to apples but I would put a regular season and conference tourney championship roughly on par with an elite 8 appearance. I would for sure value them over a S16 appearance.

How about some top 15 recruiting classes?

Not sure anyone should get caught up in recruiting rankings with basketball until they figure out a good way to combine transfers into the rankings.

I do believe though it is not crazy to think someone else couldn’t at least sustain our “relevancy” if that’s what we’re paying for now.

It’s possible but I think it’s hardly probable. Just a ludicrous thought IMO for anyone to even remotely think that Auburn moving on from Bruce would be a good idea.

I see best case we hire a guy like Jans or Howland for instance. A decent mid major coach or a re-tread that can get you to the tourney somewhat regularly but isn’t really competing for trophies every year like we are with Pearl.

Just a reminder that literally this season we won 27 games, an SEC tourney title, and were a game away from a regular season title. We spent most of the season ranked and much of the season in the top 15.

We won a regular season title the season before last. Even last year in a down year we won 22 games and a tourney game.

All this despite some really tough misses vs the G League Ignite and tough breaks with guys like Chance Westry and Aden Holloway. We are right there within small margins of top 10 programs
