Success has created a fake fanbase. All teams have fans who are only fans when the team is winning. Alabama has way more of those because they win way more games. Those types of people are probably not as well educated and well heeled as those fans who are long time fans and therefore subject to idiotic behavior. That ain't all of them but its a bunch of them...

Except some have those who are there through thick and thin. Sorta like Georgia before 2022.
