That wasn't our mascot. That was Spirit, a bald eagle. Our official mascot is a golden eagle.
We go at least three deep at the Eagle position and Spirit always was a bit squirrely. At one game, he just started circling, with his circles becoming wider and wider until no one could see him. Thought he might have gone to check out some hot female eagle at Lake Martin, but then he came back and landed so we could start the game.
