Saban didn't know? He was the mastermind behind everything having to do with Alabama football. He micro managed everything!
I do agree that he never paid them directly, but I refer you back to what Rush Propst said a couple of years ago about Saban. He recanted it because of all the heat that he took, but he was 100% correct about everything he said!

This is hilarious that you believe a guy that had a secret family wouldn't lie about Saban. If you believe a word Rush Propst says, you have a bigger problem than thinking Saban paid players.
