It was a Colorado WR that had to give up a sunglasses sponsorship that he had as an Olympic skier and sit a year that started the discussion. Then some PAC12 gymnastics girls were not allowed to monetize their social media thirst traps. Then the video game fiasco pushed it to the forefront.

That was the biggest load of crap that the Olympic Skier couldn't get sponsored because he played football.

2017: UCF kicker who lost eligibility because of a monetized YouTube channel as well
