And if you look up the number of homicides in all of those cities, they will dwarf accidental drownings each and every year. No one is saying people can’t drown. No one is saying people don’t drown. People aren’t saying this guy didn’t drown. They are saying statistically it is a lot more likely he was murdered than he fell in the river accidentally and drowned.

You’re missing the point, that this is the reason everyone is fascinated with this case. Yes, there are many homicides in every city, but most involve gang violence, domestic violence and people that generally know each other. Generally not just some random college student partying on Broadway.

Yes, millions of people get shitty drunk in downtown Nashville every year, but you never hear of anyone just disappearing. I’m sure there may have been a few, but I can’t remember any tourists just disappearing from Broadway in my 20 years here. That’s what makes it so interesting.

So you seem to be local. Do you know if there is a homeless encampment under that bridge? That seems to be a very popular and common place to see them. In light of the report that a woman saw a homeless guy wearing his shirt, it makes me wonder if he ran into the wrong guy/s at the wrong time in the wrong place underneath that bridge.
