I have no idea what the ticket price for women's basketball is today. But as a student way back when, it was free. Mens basketball cost 1 dollar a game for season tickets. I bought the season ticket pack every year and just went to 1-2 games as a student.

**I checked. UGA womens basketball tickets start at 3 dollars. I'm going to say there's not all that much money there.**

Again, the money is in the TV contracts for NCAA WBB. The whole point of the OP is about this unnecessary incident being bad for women’s college basketball, which is growing in interest and popularity nationwide. Even casual basketball fans know who Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark are these days, so there is also a ton of money in it for the players too from an NIL perspective.
