Him opting out eliminates a lot of the in-season sideshow. Now there wont be sideshows about his rating, sitting Quinn in the game to start Arch or having him transfer (judging by today everyone would have made memes all season long about that stuff). So he got ahead of it to eliminate the distraction.
The fact that grown men on a site have made a 5 page thread about a kid not being in a video game makes you all look like dumbasses.
Do you know how insecure you have to be to make THIS the reason?
Look, I don't give a shite if Arch is in the game or not. I haven't owned a gaming console in over a decade. I just think it's hilarious that they're trying to push this "focus on football" nonsense.

I’m having a tough time seeing the correlation between taking distractions away from the team and him being “insecure”.
