I was at the game. It was absolutely one of the worst officiated games I’ve witnessed, I’ve witnessed a lot of college basketball games. However I did not notice one side being favored to the other. Consistent in awfully inconsistent calls, for both sides. Cal should have been T’d up in the first half is my only complaint, doesn’t matter. We couldn’t defend the perimeter or post if it was 7 on 5. Simply terrible defense to compliment the officiating. Lawson may have played the worst game relative to minutes Ive seen in 5-10 years. He has no business suiting up for us going forward. I would likely suggest that the poor officiating is what kept us in game until the very end. At that point in a time a finger nail was considered a lethal weapon from all I could tell. Doug Shows can walk head on into interstate traffic after watching that game and the one he just officiated tonight. Referees like him are the only ones threatening to bring down a special game. It’s unwatchable garbage and defies the entire purpose of a coach running an offense or defense that is believed to play into your teams’ strengths. Doug Shows would be completely fine with using his free time to attend a free throw contest instead of a basketball game. Pathetic.

While true of this game, this also describes most games. Officiating is by and large terrible.
