To expand on this, she was a UGA student and member of the AXO sorority who was starting nursing school at the AU campus in Athens (UGA doesn’t hve a nursing program so this is pretty common). From Woodstock originally.
The boy who committed apparent suicide the night before in one of the dorms (unrelated, just horribly coincidental timing) was a freshman Kappa Sig from Marist.
There has also reportedly been an international student who passed yesterday morning at a local hospital with meningitis.
Just an unbelievably rough 48 hours for the whole campus.

My kids went to school with the one that committed suicide. I see his parents at church all the time. Such a bright future. Thoughts and prayers with both families
