The "Bulldog Initiative" is a fricking joke right now and Ive seen zero enthuisiasm from Bulldog donors/fanbase to even attempt at competing with larger collectives.
Most Bulldog fans I know have a poor attitude about the whole thing and have no desire to pay players.
A lot have the same sentiment as the OP and try to act like they don't care anymore. Country working class alumni from the Delta and East MS just aren't going to give their money away to athletes, especially when most of them that I know aren't too fond of the black man in the first place.
Most of my family are MSU alumni, and all of them have that country hard arse blue collar attitude....and the only thing they are going to donate money to is their Church.
OM tends to have more spoiled white collar doctors, lawyers, businessmen that grew up with a silver spoon in their mouth...and are more inclined to donate money to something like a collective. I'll be the first to admit that OM has way more preppy douchebags than MSU....but the preppy douchebags have more money. Om has significantly more out of state students than MSU, and most of those kids come from money. Its been an obvious difference in our fanbases for years and its no mystery.
You know exactly what Im talking about.

Their hand will be forced if things don't get going on the gridiron. The fanbase isn't going to settle indefinitely. We have billionaire donors and alumni. No one on the outside knows anything about the Bulldog Initiative when it comes to money because most avid State fans don't even know.
