Quite possibly the worst linebackers coach in Auburn history.
What a laughably stupid take. You had a guy in the middle finish as a Butkus semi-finalist and lead the team in tackles during the *check notes* one year he coached there.

Tuscaloosa, surely you are now going to mention how bad Cam Riley and Wesley Steiner were under Christian Robinson.

You are smarter than this. Thats like attributing all of Bryce Young's success at Bama to Bill O Brien over mere circumstances. And as already mentioned despite grading poorly Pappoe produced even better number's without C-Rob two years prior.
Now, as a Bama fan you can be hopeful in your coach but dont just spin Pappoe as C-Rob's success story. Auburn fans that watched Pappoe play through the the entirety of his career know better than this. Pappoe collected decent stats at times but he didn't measure up to his hype. He was the Sparq combine champion and #1 linebacker in the class that barely produced gamechanging plays despite his billing as being a top pass coverage linebacker that could hit. As a matter of fact a lot of Pappoe's real tackles came by the chase down variety. Chase-down tackles are never good even though they are necessary, but some of those chase-downs were because he put himself out of position.
Auburn fans know linebacker hype. There is no linebacker legend quite like Tray Blackmon. Blackmon put the devil in Reuben Foster and then spun him around.
Stop living vicariously through Pappoe. Fact of the matter is C-Rob was only at Auburn for one bad year and C Rob's impact was never felt. That's not a bad look on C-Rob. Just a neutral one.

Owen was/is a very good player who was signed by Gus. The young man was the victim of a coaching turn over similar to Bo. Depleted players, defensive coaching philosophy under Harsin prohibited Owen yet he was a good player.
He is a graduate of Auburn University, signed a 4yr $4M deal in the pros and had a good season where his playing time increased.
The Auburn family is proud of Owen.
I disagree with OP.
