A few years back the Barners were all partying after winning the Iron Bowl and having beaten Georgia, they were the toast of College Football. You couldn't even talk to them they were so giddy.
I tried to tell them there was football to be played,,,but no.
We all know how that turned out, don't we? That Iron Bowl was the Irrelevant Bowl, they shot their bolt winning it and got whipped in the SECCG by UGA
And Bama won it all.

You do realize this just proves my point, right?
Bama lost a regular season game that ended up not mattering in 2017.
Regular season games matter LESS with the 12-team playoff. If UGA loses to Bama in the regular season than goes on to win the national title, it makes that loss (or any regular season loss) irrelevant. Just like the SECCG loss in 2021 ended up being irrelevant.
The name of the game is to make the playoff and win the national title. While individual regular season games often mattered in the BCS days and the 4-team playoff days... it becomes much less important with a 12 team playoff. Bama losing the SEC West in 2017 and it not mattering or UGA losing the SECCG in 2021 and it not mattering are going to be the norm, not the exceptions.

This sounds like a massive deflection. The greatest coach of all time just retired and somehow Georgia is in a worse position? The coach that probably cost Georgia at least 2 national titles is no longer coaching and somehow that’s bad for Georgia? Alabama fans need to come face reality that it isn’t the Bama mystique that propelled you guys to the greatest run in college football - it was having the greatest coach of all time in your sideline.
He is gone now, and this retard’s take is that the one coach that seemed to have Kirby’s number is now gone and that’s somehow a bad thing for Georgia? Jesus Christ you are insane.
