Nuss may be good, but the reality is he's a guy who's only body of work last season was a bowl game.

We've seen a lot of examples of players who looked great in one or two games of relief as a backup who did not succeed as a starter. DJU at Clemson. Joe Milton at Tennessee. Tennessee is doing the same thing with Nico this off-season.

It's reasonable for opposing fans to take a "wait and see" approach on a player like Nico or Nuss. They aren't proven yet.

Agreed. I will probably not start believing in Nuss until his 2nd or 3rd 300+ yd game. He was certainly talented in the 2022 SECCG though. And TBF, even with an improved defense, he will probably need to score a lot of points to win...so should put up some big stats
