You're going to have to forgive them, some bama fans struggle with how things like this work. There's a large handful of them that still can't comprehend how on earth UGA finished ranked higher in football even though we had half as many losses as they did.

For whatever its worth, coaches seem to broadly agree with my opinion that Alabama is a little bit better than South Carolina right now.
Nobody is winning anything in early February though, so we'll just see how it goes...
I do tend to think South Carolina played an especially outlier bad game v. Alabama...so the 30 point win is a bit of an aberration but I'd still pick Alabama in a rematch because there seemed to be some matchup issues there for USC.
