and my No. 9 pick (Luke Fickell) didn’t exactly meet Year 1 expectations at a new spot. Meanwhile, Steve Sarkisian and Mike Norvell weren’t even in my Top 25.

Trying to figure out what point you're trying to make here.

The list changes year to year, you thought that was some kind of gotcha? The view of Norvell and Sarkasian is much more favorable after last season for pretty much everyone.

He had Saban ranked #2.

He had Lincoln Riley #5

He had Luke Fickell at #9

He had Sarkisian and Norvell outside of his entire Top 25.

Those are all laughably bad takes.

And as many as almost every coach in the top 10.

None of those takes were terrible before last season.

I'm sorry, I knew that would be upsetting. Go ahead and hang the On3 #2 coach banner, I won't stop you.

No troll answer?

After Kirby its wide open IMO.

DeBoer: 1 CFP, 1 NCG, 0 NC, 1 conf champ
Kelly: 2 CFP, 1 NCG, 0 NC, 0 conf champ
Sark: 1 CFP, 0 NCG, 0 NC, 1 conf champ
Dabo: 4 CFP, 3 NCG, 2 NC, 8 conf champ
Kiffin: 0 CFP, 0NCG, 0 NC, 0 conf champ
Lanning: 0 CFP, 0NCG, 0 NC, 0 conf champ
Riley: 1 CFP, 0 NCG, 0 NC, 4 conf champ
Day: 1 CFP, 0 NCG, 0 NC, 2 conf champ
Norvell: 0 CFP, 0 NCG, 0 NC, 1 conf champ

That list is thin and completely misleading.

Dabo on paper has without doubt the best resume, but would anyone take him today over the other guys?

The flip side of that is that Lane Kiffin has no achievements to put him in that group, but has clearly overachieved at Ole Miss and seems worthy of being in the discussion for that reason.

For me its just a tier of coaches who are all roughly equal based on current data and onfield performance.

All of them are capable of winning a NC in the next 2-4 years except for Dabo IMO.

Some of them, sure. Dude went 10-3, 11-3 and 9-4 the last few seasons. Clemson has fallen off but that's a good enough resume even if it wasn't three of his worst years.

Crazy thing is half of the Ohio State fanbase wants Day fired.

That’s demonstrably false.

Kelly has won 2 as HC. He also has a .741 win pct at LSU.

How ‘bout Napier? No nattys as HC and .440 at Flarta. OUCH!
