They just focus on Transfer kids. Especially OM. Instead of coaching up HS players they simply buy players other coaches have ready and use them.

Not a knock on them. That will be more of the way of the future with kids hopping every year and most freshman not being ready or thinking they are worth the most and are good enough to play day 1 or they will leave.

Apply your money smartly to results that are more guaranteed and timely, i.e. the free agent market called the portal.
That 5 star qb you have to get with a huge NIL package won't pay off for the first year or two at least, and his first season will be a learning one. But the former 3-star DL who has produced and is viewed as one of the 5 best in the portal will produce for 2-3 years with no investment years.
