Most derision of UT Austin comes at the expense of the progressive element present which does indeed exist...but there is also a sizeable population of frat brother douche bags just like there is at every other school except, in the case of UT Austin, most of those morons are Texas entitled. We all know the basic type...upper middle class parents whose kids were indulged and pampered to the point that the kid concludes they somehow did all of that themselves. All state universities are over run with these characters. Those in Austin are jacked up on steroids compared to those in Athens or Gainesville. They are Texans and if you know you know. If you don't you will with some exposure to the species.
