To be fair... there was nothing that occurred in the previous 13 years that led me to believe it was possible.
It's weird looking back now, but to me growing up, USC and Florida were these unbeatable giants. It's crazy how abuptly things changed with Saban

Not doubt, I had a over a half-dozen years on you when that season happened and really could not have imagined where we were heading. I just knew that 2008 was the start not the ending because it felt different than any other good season I'd experienced with Shula, Franchoine, or Dubose. Mostly because all those good seasons were at some rough "roster maximum" of experienced guys. The 2008 team's best talent was Sophomores and Freshmen.
