I have become friends over the last few years with some high school coaches in Louisiana that rent my condo in Perdido Key. They are telling me about some of the D1 prospect players "handlers" that are telling college coaches that "I don't want my guy playing against Weber State, Austin Peay, etc. because they might get hurt."

These guys have been in coaching for 25+ years and have their state retirements. They say they have never seen anything like this, and it has ruined their enthusiasm for coaching and teaching. They are checking out and retiring before it gets any worse.

This is out of control. No way teenagers should have this kind of power.

It’s going to remain this way until the guardrails go up. This brief period of transitioning to pay for play will be looked at with an asterisk in 30 years.

This is like having a teacher out on maternity leave. The class is just going apeshit with the substitute in charge. The teacher will eventually be back. She won’t be as strict, child birth has sapped her energy, but she will have rules.

Entitlement is a cancer. This isn't the NBA.

Also, this will change once they gain employee status.

This is what the players wanted. This is what the politcally correct clowns on twitter wanted. Everyone needed to bend over and cater to these poor, poor players...the sport may no longer exist in 25 years at this rate.

No more scholarahips for inner city kids that would never sniff a college education without athletics. I'm talking about the kids that will never play pro. Kids going to G5 schools. They will be the ones getting punished if all of this goes south.

Rules need to be in place to protect the sport and it's health but clowns looked at it as "modern day slavery" and cried until the rules changed.

Players deserve a piece of the pie. They do. But the way it's structured now is chaos. NIL pay for play along with the immediate transfer rule has absolutely reeked havoc and it will create awful long term repercussions.
