It's just not feasible anymroe for a regular joe to do that. And I'm sure the pepole in charge say "and? We don't give a frick" as long as the money is pouring in hand over fist. But it's just really annoying to see the sport erode into an NFL product.

There's only a handful of fan bases even large enough to support a 3-bowl system (on top of a conference championship). I realize they don't care, but football isn't basketball: people watching tv realize no one's at the game and it's going to hurt the experience more than they think
