And the other thing I haven’t mentioned, which is probably the most important, is that of the 3 difference makers, two were transfers.
The odds that Sayin was going to go to Bama, wait his turn, and become a top QB without transferring is extremely low. Like I said, JJ McCarthy is the only one who even somewhat matches the criteria

This is simply untrue, and you are looking at the wrong data to try to make your point. Saying the Class of '23 QBs have not made an impact is dumb, they were only freshmen.
Here is the more accurate list of five-star QBs and their impact:
2022
Allar - starter for PSU
Klubnik - starter at Clemson
Weigman - starter at A&M
Simpson - no impact yet at Bama
2021
Ewers - transferred
C. Williams - transferred
Huard - bust
Maye - first-rounder from UNC
McCarthy - won natty at UM
2020
B. Young - Heisman winner at Bama
Uaiglelleilii - multi-year starter at Clemson
Stroud - 2nd overall pick from OSU
2019
Rattler - starter at OK before transfer
2018
Lawrence - 1st overall pick from Clemson
Fields - transferred
JT Daniels - transferred
2017
Mills - multi-year starter at Stanford
Tua - 1st rounder from Bama
Fact of the matter is, the vast majority of these guys made a substantial impact on their original schools. Odds were very high that Sayin would have been a multi-year starter for Bama and about a 50/50 chance of being a first-round pick.
