LSU 7-3 riding a 4-game streak
AUB 7-3 riding a 5-game streak
TEN 8-2 and coming off a win

We had a 6 game streak in the Iron Bowl until 2008. Tuberville threw the towel in that season.

Yes Alabama was coming off of sanctions when Saban arrived and was still on probation two yrs into his start or at least his first year for sure. I remember the Cecil hurt article when probation was over.

Well that’s not really surprising

Especially when Shula’s first class he could only sign 14 and the next year 18.

Hard to compete when everyone else is signing 25-30

Alabama got lucky and hired the two greatest college football coaches of all time. Bama didn’t make those two men….they made Bama.

Time to learn that lesson because the odds of them hiring the third best college coach of all time is minuscule
