Much of college football media became Saban and Bama-centric.

After putting Bama at the fore of your college football media business for over a decade, these people can't quickly pivot to a business-model that is focused on another team or that has more of a general college football focus. That's why many in the media are saying there has to be some change with the portal after a coach leaves but they didn't say the same about any other program. No one is saying anything about Washington and Arizona losing players.

So to summarize for you, you think "Alabama is college football". Get a grip. You people are insane.

That's so not what I said. You lack reading comprehension.

I think it's just funny to see the same fans that were talking shite about recruiting the last few years now pivoting when it's their team losing recruits and active players to the portal.

I remember reading one thread about it being completely unfair that it's open season on Bama football players and Bama recruits, while last year at this time the same posters were posting about taking in said recruits from other schools

They are already there but you may not realize it because you still watch games on a TV with a coat hanger for an antenna and select from one of 3 available channels by turning a dial.

Alabama has definitely propped up the SEC's reputation for the last 15 years. There would've been some seasons that were some complete clunkers in the SEC without Saban, and the entire reputation of the coference would've been different.

Now Kirby is carrying that flag, and Kirby says bring that shite on!

I keep seeing this repeated and I don't agree. If Bama isn't in the 2011 championship, LSU wins it. If Bama isn't in the 2017 championship, Georgia wins it. Bama lost the semi-final game this year, but Georgia would have played in it if not for Bama.

Without Bama, the SEC may lose 3 of Saban's 5 championships on paper, but that would still put the SEC head and shoulders above every other conference.

Not at all. Just the most successful college football program over the last century. That is beyond dispute.
