Very possible. But you have to go back to 2010 for the last time Alabama did that in a regular season (didn't even need a bowl win to get to ten in those other seasons).

But football is not football. Those Pac 12 games he struggled with this year would be losses in the SEC. I'm not sure what happened with you guys. But Michigan dominated them along the LOS in a resounding way. That game should not have been as close as it was for most of that game. Give their coaches credit for that, but they were very close to getting blown out early.

He is a winner. I think he will be.

But winning 10 games wasn't enough for Georgia or LSU. Why? Because of Saban. Will it be enough for the coach who replaces Saban, especially if someone else is better year in and year out in the conference?

Last weekend Bama fans were talking about how much improvement they expected to see over the past three seasons. They just won the conference twice. They probably have reduced those expectations a little based on what's happened this week. But still, that's an awful high bar to get to. You can be a very, very good coach and not reach it.
