It never was about playing for Alabama...it was about playing for the Nick Saban!! He just so happened to be affiliated with Alabama! If it was about Alabama, kids would still be here....pure and simple!!
Hell, a lot of kids even took less money to play for Nick Saban....not Alabama.

And that was because he pumped players into the NFL. Not because he was like their grandpa. DeBoer is going to have his own legacy at BAMA. He's a great coach.

The attitude for any player wanting to leave is "there's the door."

He has to know what he has, so he can get busy filling those holes. There isn't time to worry about trying to convince players to stay. Wish them well, and send them all BAMA Championship swag when you win the natty and they're in Columbus, OH or Dildo, TX.

Having the Goat does factor in for a lot of kids and we can't blame them for their reasons in choosing to leave especially if they chose to play for him and he isn't here, the main goal should be to cater to the guys who decided to stick it out and for the people who want to be associated with Alabama regardless of who is here or not.
