it was a good hire, not homerun. You can only say homerun after you have some results.

BK is a home run hire because he took us from horrible results to SEC West and back to back 10 win seasons.

I read through the linked thread.

I saw a LOT of posters, including the first one, lamenting the death of college football, not just retirement of Saban.

College football had TV dealed, NIL'ed, transfer portaled and conference realigned itself into just a minor league for the NFL.

And as a sportswriter opining on the same subject wrote NOBODY cares about minor league anything.

College football as we knew and loved it is dead.

It is now TV-ratings-driven business put on mainly for the benefit of sports gamblers, and will soon be cut down to only 40 or so programs.

Minor league pro football.

And nobody really cares about minor league anything.

I wont deny this...but the post in question is lamenting the state of cfb, not the new coach. Im fine with Bama being the sacrificial lamb if things change
