I know this is weird to say given our record and ranking, but I’m under no illusion that this is an Omaha squad.
Our pitching (Hagen aside) has evened out, and this squad simply can’t hit the ball or score runs without being gifted base runners by way of walks, errors and HBP’s.
The level of opposing pitching is going to get better in the postseason and the charity runs will tail off, at which point we’re going to have to put a fricking barrel on a ball and knock runners in.

quote:I think it is, but only because we're built so well for a tournament setting. Eventually we'll just outlast the competition we'll face in regionals with the parade of arms. The sheer amount of people we can call on to just throw strikes is abnormal for a college team. Supers is where I'll get a little nervous.

We're not hoisting anything if the hitting doesn't get better, though.
