So will there be a decrease in capacity?


There are not 50,000 affluent football fans per team.
You can price it out of reach for your core audience.

I quit going to live games because they make it almost a job to sort out the logistics of going to a game. I enjoy football, but driving 3.5 hours to bake in the sun in September is not a value for me. A metal bench? No seat back, no cup holder?

When capacity contracts, maybe the in stadium experience will be premium.

There absolutely is that for a lot of major programs. Question is why you’d spend it on college sports when you can use those dollars to see professionals & entertain clients at much nicer venues.
