The reality is that which job is "better" depends on the coach.

Some coaches have an ego that makes winning championships their primary desire. They care less about job security and want to be in one of the jobs that gives the best opportunity to win titles.

There are maybe 5-8 jobs that are in that group. None of them are places that cut you slack for long if you don't do extremely well. Bama is obviously one of those jobs.

Some coaches weight job security higher and as long as it's POSSIBLE to win a title at the job, it doesn't have to be one of the elite jobs where you are likely (and EXPECTED) to be in the mix every year.

Those in the first group will view Bama as clearly ahead of Oregon. Those in the second would view Oregon better.
