Oh, we know that now? That was quick. Super out of the loop here, so again, hope all are in good health. I was thinking that it sorta made sense if the rumor were true, that after the DL coach passed on the job offer, that tipped the scale for Nick.

He was having trouble hiring coaches because he’s such an honest person. Same with recruiting didn’t feel comfortable going year to year with players wanting to know if he was gonna be there as he delayed to announce his retirement the day school enrolled.

A prospective employee asks if you'll be there for more than a few years, and it seems it finally dawned on Nick that he had to answer 'no'.
Makes sense if I'm hiring a guy to move (presumably) his wife and entire family hundreds of miles and several states, it matters.
